MUZI Hadebe one of Bulawayo and Zimbabwe’s most respected football pundits has predicted a good Zifa Southern Region Division One Soccer League season.
The season kicks off this weekend with FC TalenVision setting the ball rolling with a clash with Makomo on Friday afternoon.
FC TalenVision chief operating officer Brian Moyo said the match had to be slotted on Friday afternoon since Bulawayo City and Chicken Inn will be playing in city during the weekend. Both have Luveve Stadium as their preferred venue.
Hadebe a keen lower division football follower said Bulawayo City would be the favourites for the title.
“I think it’s going to be a good race for the title. BCC will be the favourites coming from the PSL and have had good preparations and performances even against PSL sides.
“However do not rule out TalenVision. They seem organised and have gone about their business quietly and might be the team to disturb Bulawayo City,” he said.
He warned both against the imposing threat from Matabeleland North’s Makomo and ZPC (Hwange), both perennial favourites.
“ZPC (Hwange) and Makomo cannot be ruled out. The fight however will be between the Bulawayo teams TalenVision and Bulawayo City,” said Hadebe.
